As reported by multiple users on Reddit, the Android Letters for Web includes an easter egg from Hangouts: emoticon shortcuts which are known as 'Kaomoji'. Yous can send your friends shruggies, table flips, and even Finn and Jake from "Gamble Time," all with simple text commands.
The feature called "shruggie" was introduced to Hangouts back in 2016,summonable via the command /shruggie. E'er since so, many new shortcuts were added to the list. While the original listing of shruggies is a rather long one, hither'due south a list of all the commands currently known to work:
- /algebraic
- | ( •◡•)| (❍ᴥ❍ʋ)
- /dealwithit, /sunglasses
- ( •_•)
( •_•)>⌐■-■
(⌐■_■)
- ( •_•)
- /disapprove
- ಠ_ಠ
- /facepalm
- (-‸ლ)
- /happy
- ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
- /praisethesun
- \`[-|-]/
- /shrug, /shruggie
- ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- /success
- (•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑
- /tableback
- ┬─┬ ノ( ゜-゜ノ)
- /tableflip
- (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
- /that
- (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
- /this
- ☜(゚ヮ゚☜)
- /sorcerer
- (∩ ` -´)⊃━━☆゚.*・。゚
- /yuno
- ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)
Do annotation that these shortcuts merely work at the very outset of a message, and not at the end or middle of a text. Also, although your recipient will them only fine, they can simply be sent from the web version of Messages. Equally of now, in that location is no discussion whether the feature will make its way to the app or not, and then I guess we'll just accept to wait and run across.
